Understand Your Brain. Trust Yourself. Move Forward

What if life with ADHD could feel less like a daily struggle and more like something you truly understand? What if you could discover what helps your brain engage, follow through on what matters, and do more of the things you want with greater ease and less stress?

As, a Certified Professional ADHD Coach I work with late-diagnosed men rebuilding midlife. Because I was diagnosed later in life, I understand the relief of realizing that feeling restless, forgetful, overwhelmed, or inconsistent doesn’t mean something is wrong with you—it means there is more to learn about how your brain works.

Coaching gives us a space to slow down, recognize your patterns, uncover your strengths, and explore strategies designed around you. Together, we can help you trust yourself more deeply and create a way forward that feels genuinely your own.

Why Work With Me?

For much of my life, I knew I was capable, creative, and driven. I built a business, managed people, and helped others move forward in their careers—yet I still couldn’t understand why certain everyday things felt harder than they seemed to feel for everyone else. I learned to compensate, push harder, and hide the parts of myself that felt scattered or inconsistent.

While training at the ADD Coach Academy, I began recognizing my own experiences in what I was learning about ADHD. My later-in-life diagnosis didn’t change who I was—it gave me a new way to understand myself. I stopped seeing my struggles as personal shortcomings and began discovering how to work with my brain instead of constantly fighting against it.

That experience shapes the way I coach. I won’t try to fix you or squeeze you into a one-size-fits-all system. I’ll listen without judgment, help you recognize patterns, and ask questions that lead you toward your own insights. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths and values, explore what helps your brain engage, and experiment with practical strategies that fit your life.

You are already capable and resourceful. What if you had a supportive partner to help you quiet the noise, see yourself more clearly, and turn what you want into meaningful progress?

Background

I completed my professional ADHD coach training through the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA). My training focused on ADHD-specific coaching, executive functioning, strengths, values, and helping clients create strategies that fit the way their individual brains work.

Before becoming a coach, I spent more than 20 years in staffing, recruiting, and hiring. For 17 of those years, I founded and operated a healthcare staffing company serving hospitals, healthcare systems, and government organizations. That experience taught me how people grow, adapt, solve problems, and navigate change—often while managing significant pressure and competing demands.

My path has never been entirely conventional. Before entering the business world, I studied theatre and the visual arts, and creativity remains an important part of how I see people and possibility. Outside of coaching, I enjoy history, film, drawing, writing, and spending time with animals. I have also volunteered as an elementary-school reading mentor and at an animal shelter, experiences that strengthened my belief in patience, connection, and recognizing potential that may not be immediately visible.

Testimonials

"Before talking to Jody, I was feeling like I had no direction. I wasn’t feeling very happy with my current career. I felt something was missing and with work opportunities not as abundant as it had been, I had started to notice glaringly that I need to change something. In our first session I was challenged to really look at myself and what would make me happy. That’s all it took. He helped me to gather my thoughts and ruminate on some goals and suddenly I had a plan. I’m back in school and believe I’m on the right path where I can add additional tools to my belt. I’m excited to see what’s over the horizon."
